Liverpool FC has expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of tickets allotted to them for the return leg at the Bernabeu in March.
Real Madrid’s stadium Santiago Bernabeu has been undergoing some renovations hence why the reduction in the number of tickets to 1800. This was exactly the same number of tickets that were allocated to Chelsea last season as they were the visiting side.
On their website, Liverpool claimed that the number was really dissatisfying and not enough for traveling fans going into such an important game.
Spirit of Shankly, the official Supporters Trust, and the Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association have also stated their disappointment and are asking the club to keep the pressure high for answers.
Liverpool FC has already stated their concern to the UEFA and wants the matter looked into more closely.
Liverpool ensured its fans that it was fully aware of what the repercussions of that decision meant to them.
The Club wants to make sure that they take as many supporters as possible on their outings. It has developed systems that ensure that all tickets available are bought.
Liverpool still remains in contact with Liverpool disabled supporters and the Supporters trust. This is to increase the allocation of tickets mainly for the disabled.
